Yes. Our move managers coordinate directly with caretakers, family members, community liaisons, and facility staff at every stage of the transition. This includes working with the destination community on move-in schedules, elevator reservations, and floor plans, as well as communicating with medical or care teams about any special needs. Yes. We offer full packing, unpacking, and settling-in services so you can focus on your transition while we handle the logistics. Our team carefully packs your belongings using professional materials, oversees the move in coordination with Moyer & Sons, and then unpacks, organizes, and sets up your new space – hanging pictures, making beds, stocking the kitchen, and arranging furniture according to your space plan. The goal is for your new home to feel like home on day one.

Absolutely. Our downsizing and organizing services provide hands-on, one-on-one support to sort through a lifetime of belongings and make thoughtful decisions about what to keep, donate, sell, or discard. We understand this process is emotional – especially when it involves a family home – and we work at your pace. Before the move, we help you right-size so only what you need and love goes to your new home. After the move, we set up organized systems in your new space. Items you choose to part with can be handled through our donation, disposal, and dispersal services.

In the Move In & Settle stage, we focus on unpacking, organizing, and setting up systems so your new home works well from day one. During Busy Living, we provide ongoing organizing, storage solutions, and coordination of home maintenance and repairs to keep pace with full schedules and growing families. As you Refresh & Adapt, we help rethink layouts, improve safety and comfort, and, through Moyer Home Services, coordinate everything from handyman work to larger renovations and home add-ons so your space fits your changing needs. When it’s time to Downsize & Transition, we guide you through thoughtful downsizing, right sizing and home preparation for aging in place or relocations while working closely with Moyer Move Management and Moyer & Sons Moving & Storage to manage a smooth, low-stress move.

Yes. Home Wellness team supports a wide range of tasks beyond the move itself, including home organization projects, coordinating in-home services, setting up utilities, managing to-do lists, and helping you stay on top of household logistics as your needs change. Yes. Moyer Home Wellness is a licensed contractor and can help coordinate handyman work, ongoing maintenance, repairs, and home improvement projects. We serve as your single point of contact — helping you prioritize projects, schedule work, and ensure your home continues to meet your needs. This is especially valuable for seniors or families who want one trusted team managing everything from the move to the home setup to ongoing upkeep.

Yes. As a Service of of Moyer & Sons Moving & Storage, we coordinate directly with Moyer & Sons’ professional crews for all types of moves. This means you get the white-glove move management experience combined with a fully licensed, insured moving company that’s been serving the DC and Baltimore areas since 1969. Your belongings are handled by trained employees — not subcontractors — and stored in secure facilities in Clarksburg and Elkridge, Maryland if needed.

Yes. We arrange short-term and long-term storage through Moyer & Sons’ secure facilities in Clarksburg and Elkridge, Maryland — with more than 45,000 square feet of 24 hour secure storage space between the two locations. Storage is available month-to-month and is especially helpful when you’re staging a home for sale, dealing with closing date gaps or construction delays, or completing a phased transition

We recommend reaching out 6–8 weeks before your anticipated move date, though the earlier the better — especially if downsizing is involved, as sorting through a household takes time. Early planning allows us to build a realistic timeline, coordinate with senior living communities and care teams, schedule staging if you’re selling, and reduce stress for everyone involved.
